The addition of
therapeutic massage to the existing movement studies school is a
natural marriage between exercise, fitness and body awareness taught
through SIMS and my current education in neuromuscular therapy,
athletic massage, hot stone massage, aromatherapy and Swedish
relaxation massage. Soon the business will expand to include a
Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture physician. The Chinese
Medical Pharmacy will carry herbal and homeopathic dietary
supplements and healing formulas through Far East Summit, Garden of
Life and Bio-resource, Inc.
Additionally,
exercise props and equipment will be available through suppliers
such as Gaiam Mind Body Living Arts and Ball Dynamics International
Inc. Products will include organic active wear, BalanceBalls, reflex
balls, resistance bands, yoga blocks, yoga mats, massage and therapy
tools, educational books and CD’s. Essential oils by TheraPro and
Aroma Vera Essential Oils will be used to compliment the
aromatherapy and will be available for purchase for home use.
Equipment
currently used in physical training at SIMS includes reflex balls,
self massage tools, weighted resistance balls, exercise balls (named
variously BalanceBalls, Gymnic Balls or Swiss Balls), yoga mats,
yoga blocks, hand weights, weighted hand-held balls and resistance
loops. With the expansion of SIMS and the inclusion of Harmony
Therapeutic Massage to the business, equipment used in the practice
will include 2 Signature Hot Stone Sets, 3 rolling stools, pregnancy
cushions, sporty table cart, Earth LIte Avila ll Chair, 3 Earthlite
Sedona Tables with tilt top and cabinet; Biotone oil, Biotone
deep-tissue lotion, bolsters, trigger point tools, massage back
roller, knobble, bongers, nukkles, foot rollers,thumper, wool
blankets, cotton thermal blankets, linens, face cradle covers.
